Rainbow was part of the 1990s initiative to officially designate a 17-block stretch of Nicollet Avenue as “Eat Street"—a vibrant neighborhood home to restaurants, bakeries and markets owned by immigrants from around the world. Chef Tammy is passionate about using local produce and is a mainstay at the Minneapolis Farmers Market. Rainbow has been a vendor there for more than a decade and Chef Tammy sources seasonal produce and flowers for the restaurant from the market.
